Hi legion,

You are doing a fantastic build of this FG model - the fuselage looks very good now that the front section is closed. It looks very much like the real one, with canvas between various former and rib sections. Very impressive size, too.

It was interesting to learn that there is a third (if substantially smaller and simplified) model on eBay, along with a few others in the same scale, for example the LUFTHANSA publicity Junkers Ju-52/3m "D-AQUI".

Keep up the good work!
All the best,
Bengt in Stockholm

The MM kit is about as detailed as the FG one, if you exclude the FG interior and the fact that you don't have to spread the parts over multiple pages.

And thanks for the photo's, Carl. Those would have been helpful when I started, but they will still be useful!

Just a friendly suggestion , if you haven't put the nose door on yet , do the center wing section next , or you might have some problems .

As you can see in the photo's, I already glued the doors to the fuselage. But i kept the part apart that goes ontop of the wing, as the instructions stated.

Bengt, Ju52man, Thank you both for the information on the other Gigant models available.
I'd certainly like the Mundt model set in 1:250, if ever I could locate it for a reasonable price.

Lepercan, Thank you for showing your 1:160 Gigant, that one is about as large as I'd ever build a model of this aircraft.

Legion, I echo what others have said: I'm glad you persevered in the build, becuase by watching yours, I learn more things to apply when I accumulate enough resources to do builds.

Kind and Respectful Regards my friends, Uyraell.

Here is a useful file for constructing the center wing section.

It is a spacer that you can glue right below the wing center section, on the inside of the fuselage (on the seam between the first and second fuselage parts). This way, the wing will be easier to attach. Print it at actual size (which is the same size as the FG pages, 100dpi)
