Hi
Thank you for your interest. I will make this model available as free download. There are a few steps before that: 1. Few minor "issues" have turned up during trial build- nose section "droops" a bit too much, transparent canopy rear section does not quite match the windshield, there is a slight mismatch of colours at vertical fin/ fuselage junction and no domed light in air inlet. (I could not think how to make a small transparent domes section but now I found a LED that is about the right size, so I will use this). 2. Then I need to tidy up the Photoshop files, delete various layers used for development of the model etc. A "final checked" file can then be used for making versions with different colour scheme. 3. Parts need to be arranged and numbered for the "published" model. 4. I will try to rationalise the assembly instructions as a mixture of drawings and photos. I started collecting data for a model of Vautour. I think that I looked at almost everything that is available on Internet but I found only a few not very clear photos of the interior of the cabin. Bomb bay doors are also quite clear. I would appreciate any information on these. Andrew |

Great to hear you are making progress and correcting / improving your design.
I for one will definitely build this plane soon after you upload it Regarding the Vautour, you will be one of the few that will work it in paper . I heard that there was an IAF magazine version years ago, but never seen it. My recommendation is to design it in 1/33 scale so it will be consistent with other IAF models. I have some pics I took if a French Vautour 2B but the interior was not open. I will post some later Also I recall years ago a web site dedicated to the Vautour I built the Hi Tech 1/48 scale 2N version in plastic. Really fun build and may be good reference. Early Vautours in IAF service were all bare metal. Around and during the Six day war in 1967 they sported the brown and blue camo on top. Later on they had the tri color upper ( brown , tan and green ) I personally like the 1967 colors If you design it , I will build it Thanks and keep up the good work Isaac

I think a Vautour in 1/33 scale would be a very interesting model.

Vautour details
Andrew
For your design consideration. Here are some pictures I took detailing the Vautour 2B in the aviation museum in Toulouse France. Not very exciting in bare metal. Painted in IAF camo will bring out the true aircraft. Hope you will follow up on this design. Thanks Isaac

Another beautiful model Andrew. Leif you had me going there for a moment as I scrambled to the download and then to my hard drive to see if I had missed a MkI Spitfire. Oh well you know a feller just can't have to many Spitfires or Mustangs or well you know what I mean.
