Paper Aviation FJ-1 Fury

Here's a model of the North American FJ-1 Furyfrom Martin Seeger's download at PaperAviation - Kartonmodellbau made in Thüringen . You'll note a similar wing planform and fin/rudder as the P-51. A very interesting Navy fighter.

The Fury is 1:33 scale....well engineered kit. Only mod was to plunge form the canopy as per the techniques found at Mike Stuarts scale flying models web site. Finished with five coats of lightly sprayed Krylon fixative.

Wink

Nice looking FJ-1. I've built the FG model with the wing tanks. Used 2" clear tape to make the canopy. Can't really tell, does your model have a detailed cockpit?

And it comes with the tip tanks, as well.

Correct on both parts....I shoulda' used a higher res upload to show the cockpit (but I stuck with the 'it looks better from five feet' adage). Card edges were colored using artist watercolors.
