Hi Leif.....still building the F27. As I advance on the building I´m confirming the biggest problem on this model.....the instructions are a little bit poor .I´m "suffering" a lot building the first engine..I almost have to realize by myself how to do it, how and where to place the formers...etc. It should have to be improved to get better results (if possible).
In any way the model is simply great........keep building. Later some pics. Regards Carlos |

Ok Leif it was only a comment and I didn´t want to disturb you with it.
I appreciate a lot what you and all the people who design this beauties does. As I told you i`m really impressed with this model (the best I ever seen for now). I add some pics of the current status of the building works, I added some chrome details made with a kind of aluminium adhesive tape used by the plumbers to seal pipe joints. I founded it last week on a plumbing shop and is great for this kinf of small details. Hope ecardmodels will release more models like the F27 (old propliners and turboprops) at the same big scale......I will buy allˇˇ Happy new year 2013 for everybody on the forum. Carlos |

Hello Carlos - what a grand sight this is! I can see that you're making an extremely good job of the wing spars, with some mods of your own, if I'm not mistaken.
I should say here very clearly that the designer proper of this model is Cor van Haasteren, Dutch artist and designer, born 1949, and the author of several other Paper Trade designs. You can study his bio here (charming photo of him as a boy with an advanced ship paper model), and the models he's made for Paper Trade here. What I've done is to adapt and edit his 1/50 original model of the F27-100 to 1/33 scale. The model was one of the most detailed I've seen, and it defintely deserved enlarging. You've gone one step further, doubling the scale, and I applaud that! The next thing I did was to convert the F27-100 to a F27-500 (later version), and repaint that into the colorful Asialink "Kheya" aircraft. There might even be something more along those lines coming... Leif |

Anyone interested in this thread will like to knowe that the F27 500 is coming out on Ecardmodels soon - we have just solved a copyright issue with regards to the cover photo.
Other recent item: the Lockheed VTOL Salmon, and - very special - Jo Sutton's Cosmostrator, the most original space ship design ever. |

Perhaps you have not yet seen that the Convair F102 Delta Dagger is now available from Ecardmodels, and a printed version from my own site zeistbouwplaten.nl
