Ok, I found the picture of the tail that you publised. Tail code AE belonged to the VA-176 Squadron based on the CV-59 USS Forrestal, variant A-6E

Grumman A6 Intruder High Rez .pdf Needed
I am currently designing a 1:5.5 fiber glass Grumman A6. Looking for the A-6 Intruder, Mały Modelarz, GPM in high rez .pdf to permit making paint masks for multiple fuselage and wing features.
Does someone have this model in high rez .pdf? Have looked online but have not found this model available as a download. Questionable hardcopy sources as well. If someone has a personal copy which can be purchased ore scanned in high rez that is ok as well. Thanking you in advance |

The aforementioned kits, are not available as “ hi-rez pdf” files. They are copyrighted hard copy kits. If you desire to have these, you need to order them through LEGITIMATE endors, instead of asking for pirated scans.

The reason for acquiring a vector image file is to create surface details that normally in the mold on most large competitive flying scale model. The A6 was re-winged after the severe stress of toss bombing began to crack the wing and wing spars. Boeing was contracted to create composite wings with greater dynamic strength. The new wing, now fiberglass, had access hatches but few actual traditional panels. I am creating adhesive vinyl shapes of several predominant panels with the rivet holes using a CNC blade cutter. These shapes will be placed onto the A6 fuselage and wing prior to painting the 120" w/s x 119" long A6 fuselage. PDF image of each panel is converted to an SVG to permit cutting. Sizing of the image occurs in the PDF editor then adjusted in the CNC cutter. Rivet/bolt holes as small as 1/16th of an inch are possible. As is the case with a full size aircraft the actual "rivet divot" is 80% filled in when painted...leaving a faint representation of the rivet or bolt. I have 1:5.5 line drawings of the Grumman A6 which shows the location of panels, rivet, and access hatches/inspection plates. Card models typically have the correct panels, rivet lines, inspection plates, windshield frames, fasteners, and many other features including doublers to strengthen parts of the aircraft. Using the vector image enables this to occur and reduce hours of freehand measuring and cutting with an Exacto knife and scissors. |
