What a great list! I strive to concentrate more and more on civil aircraft, those aircraft are a fine addition.
Leif, the Inka looks a lot like the Grunau Baby. Any connections?

Regards, Martin

Hello Martin - yes, the Inka was a much simplified version of the Grunau Baby. Which is why it is nice to model - true-to-scale, more fabric over stringers, and some ply - yet simpler.

See thread here, with historical information and photos supplied by original model designer Mitja Sersen Erman.

Thanks for your quick reply, Leif. This one should make a beautiful combination with a rescaled Klemm L-25 by Schreiber Modellbaubogen, the original one is 1/24.

Easier to rescale the Inka - if you are in for it, I'll give you a 1/24 version. In fact, check you regular mail... . - L

To add to the list:
Schreiber have a SG 38 training glider (germany circa 1938) at 1/24 scale.

@ Leif: Got your mail. Thanks!!! I will reply as soon a s possible.

@ Jan: That Praha is a great find. As the PDF file seems to be vectorized, even enlarging it heavily should not pose any major problems.

The Praha is a great small-scale model of a most beautiful vintage glider:

Sailplanes available?-prahapb3_02.jpg

I'm glad you recalled it, Jan, since it begs to be texturized in wood & fabric.

Martin - some modifications will be necessary, though, when enlarging such a small model. Look out for adapting the formers in particular. There will be a lot of air between them and the skin otherwise. But you knew that, of course.

I knew I had done some work on the Praha. Here it is:

Kartonbau.de: "Free download of glider Praha PB-3 scaled to 1:87". There is an addition a couple of posts down, with the finished result in 1/87.

Today, I can no longer judge whether the changes mentioned in the text are valuable or not, but in any case, the modified Praha in 1/87 is there to be downloaded. Would be nice to see it built, of course.

- L.

I'm looking for a number of SG38 "Zögling" primary glider from the 1930s. I thought there was a Dutch model (or possibly a German model which I bought from Zeist Bouwplaten in Holland), and a modern Schreiber-bogen.

Here's the Schreiber bogen in 1/24 scale:

I can't find the (possibly Wilhelmshaven) model of the SG38 I was looking for, but meanwhile I found this, from our own site:

SG-38 by MBig in1:33 scale - very nice, isn't it?
