If you have a macro setting on your photo camera, use it (it looks like a flower). Also, you might find in the menus a "supermacro" option. This allows the camera to focus at much closer distances than usually (usually would be somewhere from half a meter to infinity at minimum zoom, focus distance is somewhat affected by zoom I think).
