I agree Jim-1/144 to 1/700=20.5%. 81% of 1/144 would be about 1/180th scale.

Rocketmantan ... Y'all make whatever size floats yer boat man. I wasn't being serious. Just gratefull that someone has decided to design this Granddee Ceegar in paper at last. Looking forward to it.

Ted, Jim, & Wag ... no fightin' now boys ... I got plenty of ink and paper. I can give all opinions a test run ... Thanks for the 1/144 to 1/700 guide though. I should know how to work it out myself, but I seem to keep running out of fingers.

Johnny.

So ... if RMTan's quote of 1/477 scale is acurate (Why am I doubting this?),
to convert to 1/700 I should print x 68% ???
Am I getting this?

Johnny

According to my math, yes, that would be correct.

Cheers!

And what do you get when you plug in the 1/144 to 1/700? 20.5714%

I prefer the old fashion way, just the way I am used to, I suppose.

Just saying.....

BTW, some great models can be found at that site...I've bought a few over the last year or so, and have been very happy with the results...no affiliation with them whatsoever, just a happy customer.

Cheers!
Jim

Hah, no worries, mate! Also, here's a tip: think of one scale being a percent of the other (e.g. 1/700 would be [x]% of 1/144, or what have you)

Well, I seem to have run into a slight problem, I'm fresh out of ink. I'll see if I can pick up some tomorrow.

Talking of Larger size models, there's a paper Hindenburg that's over 1m long on offer at (The Chinese Pirate Site), but I want a 1:700 one, and I'm certainly not paying $47.12 and a three week wait for one any way.

Short of buying one from them, I've not been able to work out where they've ripped it off from. They've got 11 airships listed, but surprisingly they seem to have missed the Currell ones.

I'll bet it's this one
Alinovy modely 3D model Brawn GP
about 2/3 of the way down on the left.
it's listed as 1/200 scale which would be over 1 meter long.
