Wad Cutters Piper Cub J3
I'm far for being proud of them and I know what they look like but here they are. I will revisit the Cub again when my skills have improved or if I find a better model. I want to thank Jr. and willygoat and all of you who helped me out and kept me going. It's my first of what I hope will be many more. Thank you everybody. wc

Excellent job Wad, you've shown true grit and determination - two qualities that are
absolutely essentially in such a demanding hobby :D I love how you've not only overcome the wing problems, but also executed two quality builds elegantly! |

Hi Waddy, not bad at all, very good looking. I see that you have built it in two scales and they just look great. Hope to see more.

What's most important is that you finished what you started.
Next most important is that no one that knows anything about airplanes is going to mistake them for anything other than Piper Cubs... What's next? SFX |

You've done better with both Cubs than I could have, WC.
I've yet to train myself to the necessary skills to build as well as you've done here. Sure, you perceive what you see as faults etc, but by completing these cubs you also encourage those of us "still finding our feet" to have a go too. And that encouragement is priceless. Congratulations on completing both good-looking builds. Kind and Respectful Regards Wad_Cutter my friend, Uyraell.

Thank You
Uyraell, that is the niceness thing any one has said to me and there has been a lot said. Thank you for that. I had made my mind up from the very start that one of us would win. Either the Cub or me. I have seen what others can do with paper and glue and most of it blows my mind. These guys are masters and they can't wait for someone to ask them for help. They are right there for you. I think I rebuilt the Cub 6 or 7 times and even at that it didn't come out the way I wanted it to. I need to get better skills and one day I will come back and do her right. You just have to stay with it, ask questions, research, read and read and trying things. When you relax and stand back for the model all kinds of ideas will come. I have never seen anything like this hobby in my life or the great guys who make these models. I can see a lot wrong with the Cub but those things can be fixed. It's just paper and glue. Thanks for you kind words. wc
