Bob, I have enjoyed your builds from the fg forum. So glad you chose the 40, my first design....hope it went together ok. The Beech is better by scores. Really nice to see your build!

Hey Glen

It's been a while since I built the 40. As I recall it was a really easy build. Most models that have cutouts for the wings through the fuselage I seem to have difficulty matching the wings to the cutout. However these fit very nicely.

I departed from the existing design by replacing the struts with balsa wood between the wings and landing gear. I also used wooden wheels. I did use the rims for the tires from the plans.

The Pilot is somewhat out of scale

At some point I plan a rebuild of the exhaust system and tail pipes

regards

Bob

Was doing some cleaning up and found this tucked way back in the corner.

Can you recognize the color

At the time I didn't have a color printer and didn't have any card stock

So I cut up a file folder to a 8 1/2 x 11 and.......My Very First Fiddlers Green Card Model
And here I am today

WOW, Bob!
I wanted to do something like that, but I never figured out how to do it exactly.
That and I'm very tall

NO TALL PEOPLE ALLOWED IN MY OFFICE

My Daughters husband is really tall. When he comes in here he's like navigating a mine field dodging airplanes
