Great looking birds. What techniques do you use?

well that is the reason i got so impressed by this forum, the techniques i have seen here i always pondered them but my techniques have two main drawbacks with respect the techniques i have seen here specially the Su-47/S-37 berkut model thread you have here.

My drawbacks are my models are not as symetric as the Su-47, niether i have been able to design WWII aircraft with ease as the models of the Stuka or P-51.

Now my main advantages over the models i have seen here are my models do use higher degree of curves and bulges in the aircraft i make

here i leave you an F-18F i made.

About the techniques are a bit simialr a bit different since my models are more bulgy and rounded but the basic design techniques are the same, hoever i do not use the system of frames used in the S-37 model i have seen here in this forum by the way i have made too a Berkut

Muy bonitos modelos, MiG!

Very nice models! It would be interesting if you show us some step by step process on one of your planes.

Hello Mig 23mld,

Thanks for the kuddo's on the Berkut
Welcome to this forum
Nice and intriguing build you have there, the picture's are small, but they look very smooth and without seams, the clear canopies look good aswell..
Like Gerardo, I 'm very interested in your technique...

It will be great if you can share this technique, definitely sounds worthy to go for!

That Berkut is incredible, i true beauty and a true wonderful design.

The techniques i use are similar to the ones you use specially for the wings and tailplanes and the radomes in many ways use the same technic, however the main differences that i can see are while you use several cones of different diameter only, which i use too, i treat them more to make them rounded. i use glue and some techniques that are reminicent of papel mache and mexican pinatas.

The canopies use different cuts of plastic wrappings such as those seen in pens and batteries.

However this techniques to be perfected can be used in the same way you made the Su-47 but this will requiere excessive care so i do not know if they can be applied successfuly or there are other ways to make round radomes.

next days i will show you a Su-27 i am making and you will see some of the processess i use.
