I've used this paper for years now going back to the Ryan Pt-16 when FG first offered it. Would have made a fabulous B-36 but I kind of gave up on that build. I did a Mig-15 and F-86 chase dioroma once and a really nice scratch-built Curtiss Wright CW-1 Junior. I've got several more of those 50's fighters printed and in a to-do folder somewhere. Like I said before I really like this paper because it can take a lot of abuse.

I originally found it at a local art supply store. When I went back to order more they no longer had it in stock but were happy to special order it for me. So I've never had to order it online. I prefer it over the Red River paper and would love to see what the very talented modelers in this group could do with it.

Hoping for a very slow week here at work so I can close the office door and get the Scorp done by the weekend deadline!

Happy modeling,

Cecil

Thank you Cecil! That looks to me like the ticket. I bought Gremir's Spirit, but just can't find the right paper....

Well..., Minutes after writing my last post my slow week at the office turned quite busy. Still I've made some progress the last couple of days and have one more pic to post. The wings are attached and engine pods made up. Looks like I'll need to do some touchup on the USAF wing insignia since some of the toner has come off. And I'll probably be about down to the wire for this contest entry.

Thanks, Don and Billy. Here's a pic from yesterday. The model is just about done. I'm letting some glue set up and need to do some cosmetic touch-ups and then it take the final pics.

Here are the final pics for this entry into the ecardmodels contest. Thanks to Nobi for the fine model and to Chris for sponsoring the contest. I wasn't sure when I started if the mixed paper thing would work for this model because of all the inlays required but I must say that I'm pleased with the final result and I would definitely recomend that my fellow modelers give it a try. Hope you enjoy the pics.

That's one sharp looking Scorpion Cecil. Great work! I really like the combination fuel tank and rocket pod. What a strange piece of hardware.
