The main landing gear struts are a variant of those I designed for the Mirage III and MiG-21 families. See here for the actual shape/assembly.

I also really like how you have combined the gear wells and doors into once piece. Very cool way of doing them. I am impressed by all of your work on the little birds.

Oooh, the "what if" version is very nice looking will go good with the F-8. The all blue is appealing. Thanks again for sharing your little creations . I certainly look forward to the next one..

I just perused my memory and the Design Group Alpha archives... my recollection is that Rob designed the A-7 before we formed the DGA. Chip simplified Rob's model to be more in keeping with his Fiddlersgreen standards.

I think this all predated Zealot too - I am thinking that Rob made his model available through the old cardmodels.com(?) site.

BTW, Cafe I like your 1/200 scale model very much. You do amazing things so small.
