No.37 is the SM1 that Aaron has just released. Now let's deal with the rig pictures first.

Now wonder why your models are so perfect! That rig for straight biplane wings looks complicated and in need of a lot of patience.
Very educational as always! ps: looking forward for your return to 1/200! |

No.37 Salmson-Moineau S.M.1.
Now presenting the Salmson-Moineau SM1, originally at 1/37, reduced to 1/72 in this series. It's pretty hard for the beginner. If without the rig, the chance of failure is quite high. Don't forget to put in more weight at the front gunner's tub if you want a nose down position for display. I used a lead bead and slammed it down flat and round to fit the front gunner's tub that's not quite visible. You may think that it's a seat for the gunner. One thing I regret is that I used sewing thread with lots of bristles for the rigging (which is an add-on). It was all because of laziness in looking for a better substitute! The last pic shows the props spinning if you blow or use a handy electric fan towards the props.

Oh, wireandpaper, don't make me blush as my work has a long way to be perfect.
I'm not giving up on my 1/200 as yet but there're so many other projects at hand. |

At post 474, I meant with the "JIG" and not the "rig", sorry about that.

Just to make things a bit easier. If you look at contemporary pictures, it was actually a taildragger.
Like most WWI biplanes with a nosewheel, it was mainly used to prevent it from nosing over in a hard landing. |
