Even more important a question: how did you print it with the colours of AA??

I really liked that old American Airlines orange color scheme.
Your Electra (like all of your models) is terrific. In 1968, I flew in an Electra to Hartford, Connecticut, USA, from Baltimore, but failed to document the airline and tail number, alas. Don |

Thanks, guys.
I'm also running out of stock of these silver paper and will not have anymore after building the AA. What I do is that I'm saving all the scraps and use them as much as possible. I'll be searching again for this kind of printable silver paper that you can inkjet print them like photo paper. I think it's even better than the old Red River paper. |

Sure will.
In order to use the silver paper scraps, I usually draft print a part that I want to have in silver on a piece of paper. When it's come out of the printer, I'll cut a piece of scrap larger than the printed image. Then use sticky tape all around the scrap silver paper to fix it over the said printed image. Run it again through the printer but this time use high quality print and you'll get the maximum use of the silver paper without wastage. |

Here's how to use the scrap silver paper.
Because of lighting, the silver paper does not look too silver! |

No.69 Lockheed L-188 Electra, American Airline
No.69, the AA, is now finished in shinny silver paper. It's also the last of the trio that I beta build for Murph. How I looked forward to doing this one in silver paper but when done, I find it not as good as I would expect. Yea, it's the workmanship plus the difficulty in using this kind of paper. Gonna take a break in building large scale models in paper.
