Airigami.net Archives

Fishing through the internet, I fount this website of small(ish) scale paper airliners. The actual site is no longer operational, but I saved quite a few from archives by the Wayback Machine Airigami.net :: The Next Generation of Paper Airliner Modeling. Here are some I built so far (the AA 757 has no undercarriage, darn piece of paper slipped from my fingers and disappeared forever under a pile of paper on my desk

I had seen that site when I was looking for a TWA jet a couple months back, but I never could get any of the planes to download, TWA or otherwise. I'm glad you had better success.

They look really good

Remember I visited the original site some years ago... I never built one.

Anyway, I have downloaded now a trident blank template to have a try and here is the result. I donīt know if a livery will make this a little better but in my opinion this is not the way to go... and I wonīt waste the time with another one.

I will think about another way to make these kind of tiny planes in a more realistic way. Some time ago, I needed some very small planes for a model airport in 1/1000 or 1/800 scale and i figured out another method (better, in my opinion). I will look for some pics if i can find them.

Here are the photos of the crappy white Trident.

I have tried to download some interesting models, I think, De havilland Comet (Aerolíneas Argentinas), and other, and it's impossible for me.
I have downloaded only some modern liners, and the models in white.

I have found some old photos of the tiny planes in 1/1000 scale. I made them for the Heathrow model airport in the 60īs. Itīs all paper.

Woah!! Amazing skills! Would love to know your method. the smallest I've done are some 1:850 scale 747s, and they were pretty sloppy.

there is a way to make them look less boxy it takes some work but some one a year or 2 ago did it and made his own landing gear and they came out pretty good
