Britten-Norman Islander BN-2A, free 1:36 paper model
Hello,
Back again ! The Britten-Norman Islander has always been a project of mine , but I don’t quite know why. Not very special to look at, but I think it must be the romantic in me – this braver little plane battling winds in the North Sea just for a bit of island-hopping, and that is what it is, an Island-hopper. Many of the pictures on the ‘net show this plane a little bit lop-sided (wind!) , landing on some Northern German island’s windswept runway. Anyway, have fun with this 1:36 paper models on Bobs Card Models . Bob |

Britten-Norman Islander 1:36 Scale Model from Bob
Hi Bob,
The Britten-Norman 'Islander' (and also the 3-motor 'Trilander') has for many years been favorite airplanes of mine. I have flown in one once, as part of a trek in the high Himalayas to the Mt Everest base camp. That was a 'hairy' ride, and landing (on a football-size field upward slope), I can tell you. I must build this one! A fine model, with a very nice livery! All the best, Bengt in Stockholm |

This was the airplane that took me into the "River of No Return" wilderness to a six day rafting trip on the middle fork of the salmon. I should build one in memory of that trip. For now I will keep a close watch on this build

Nice to see the Islander as a model, Bob. It's a lovely plane. I also like it for a long time, even though I couldn't really explain, why.

It is alway nice to see another smaller civil aviation plane. Thanks.
