Thumbs up Attach booster rockets

The rockets are attached in pairs. Two on either side of the fuselage under the wing root section one above the other.

The kit has an attachment plate, but I decided not to use it since I am not sure it would have been used like that. Again, this is a concept only so no one is right or wrong.
The model is done.

Comment
The tiger scheme is interesting and very colorful for modeling, but for a high altitude interceptor it was not a smart choice of colors.

In summary, this was a simple fun kit to build and can be scaled up to 1/33 with ease and no special computer skills ( just print the pdf at 145% for 1/33 scale ).

More comparison pictures to follow

Cool Scale comparisons

Now here are some pictures comparing the Kastuodori in 3 scales.

The green is a plastic model in 1/72 scale. The other two are the original Nobi at 1/48 scale on the red stand and the larger one on the dolly is my scaled up version in 1/33 scale.

Another Ramjet- comparison

The ramjet concept dated many years before WW2. However, as simple as the engine was, you needed to get the aircraft ( or missile ) going to a high speed which was not attainable at the time. Eventually, this engine found a better use in missiles than manned aircraft.

Here is a quick photo comparison of another ramjet design from Lippisch as the P.13a

Cool Over Tokyo

And finally, a picture of the model taking off to the sky on a beautiful November day.

You whip through a difficult task without calling upon much reference.
Some war museum curators should be asking you for a present as an archival model.

Well done and congratulations.

Yu san

I tend to know allot of information on some aviation topics. I am now adding to my knowledge Japanese aircraft as well.

This was a fun project.

Now back to my Ta-183. I have to make a new canopy and add the missiles to it.

kiotsukete ( take care ).

What a great looking model! The additions really make it pop. I have the same Lippisch model printed out (still unbuilt) in 1/72 and it's pretty small, but it looks large when compared to the Kastuodori. Your photos of the two aircraft together provided me with a good size reference. Nice job!

Once I finish my Ta-183 Huckebein, I will pose all of my Luft 46 and the Katsuodori together for reference. I have some more more kits in those categories, but I will change themes soon and go for a another of my Israeli Air Force jets.

Cheers
