P-40 M ModelArt 1/32

I began yesterday with the P-40 M Kittyhawk from ModelArt, design by Dr. Zarkov, my third from this fine designer.

The cover says "Russian Version", with Russian and English instructions. I haven't seen this kit in any store, though Dr. Zarkov sells it on his web page in electronic version. I bought this thru Michael (aka GreMir) in printed version.

This is the cockpit section. The windows are made of the included tranparent paper.

To make the shape of the curved cockpit, I warm it at about 30 cm (1 foot) from the kitchen stove, while hold it with two tweezers.

It's nice to see this plane being built instead of sitting in my closet

Waiting for more when you can.

Yes, Luis, in fact is the same. That one is electronic version only, but according to the downloadable instructions and photos, it is the same.

Ok, let's continue then.

Sections of the fuselage.

The instruction for this model are not as clear as other models, so it is very helpful to see the included photos of the building process on the kit.

The tail section is complete. I wanted to hack with the elevators and rudder (separate them from its bodies), but time is running out. I have to finish this one by Saturday to take it to my local [plastic] club. I am still in the quest to give paper models a good name locally.

Nice model coloring. You're building this one quickly, too!
