Thanks, Chaparral.
I read somewhere, that the complex engines of the Super Constellation had a tendency to quit working every now and then, but that the plane could perfectly fly along on 3 engines. So it was called the best 3-engined airliner in the world. This is what a passenger would see in such a case.

Thanks Don, when I build this model in a larger sacale, such a picture would probably turn out a bit smoother.

I am a big fan of this aircraft. At first I thought your model was not true to the actual design. I am referring to the nose. It appeared too long compared to the ones I have seen. but after some research I found that there must of been several designs affecting the nose. Some of the photos online show a stubby nose and others like yours have a longer one. This was a complete surprise to me. By the way nice work.

The Connie they restored at the Aviodrome here in Holland had a long nose befre restoration. Frankly, I think it looks better with the short nose. The long nose housed a weather radar in the later L-749 versions, the L-049 ones have the short nose.

Scon, as usual I skimmed through the thread without reading your initial post. If I had I would have seen your reference to the long nose. next time I will try to read the thread before I post.

Yes, Legion, the original short nose looks very good on the SC, but I must say, the long nose does make it look faster!

You mention that you developed wing tip tanks. I am building this model and would like to incorporate them. Do you have them available?

Thanks
