Yak 38 M and Yak 38 U 1/200
Hello Friends,
here are some folks who appreciate the scale 1/200. Here a little contribution of mine. The yak 38 comes from the kit Fly Model in 1/33 (first issue, that's important, because it an easier construction for downsizing). The M Version (single fighter) is build as it was (without cockpit). The second one, U-Version, is the training machine with two seats. The fuselage from the intakes to the beginning of the plane is constructed by myself, the rest backwards is the same as the M version. The one Euro Cent should show the dimensions. The planes are about 7-7,5 cm long. Greetings peaceglue.

Interesting customization, Is very hard to reduce a complex 1/33 kit! Congratulations!

Hello Friends,
thank you for appreciation. Quote:
For shure, I don't try such a reduction six times smaller with a Halinski-Kit, that drives me crazy.... But, if the parts are too small, you can leave them, nobody will see this... HERE you can see the building report in a german forum. Greetings peaceglue

They are nicely done. I recall my first thoughts on this aircraft and variants and it was not exactly generous, then on on finding out about the problems experienced by its crews was impressed by those who flew them. Not everything in service, should be in service.

My attempt to build this plane is here http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/300294-post404.html
Some adaptations like scratch build of the landing gears were made. Papermate |
