I will start out with the P-51 mustang each build will be atleased three days to build each one perhaps less , when I finish these i have a P-38 i will start on. in view of the two kits they look like they are going to be a very relaxing to do......... This should be pretty nice to see take shape. You can have a dogfight in the ceiling.

On another note, is the P-38 kit the Fly P-38J? I got a copy of that from Old Troll a few years back, and haven't had the courage to cut it, as it was the first printed model I ever purchased.

P-51 fuselage assembly

Ahoy

The build has begun

Okay back at it again having fun as usual starting out on the P-51D typical flymodel SNAFU Starting out on the fuselage no fit issues as of yet but again due tell, The Damn Yankee on the fuselage dont line up the panjel; lines line up okay but the name of the ship is off base. but no sweat I can live with it the fuselage construction is composed of formers and skins no need to trim the skins or the formers they fit alright a little sanding on the formers to make them fit snug. I edged all skins with a red Sharpie as i burnished the seams when the assembly dried it left dark panel lines the seams are gone I cant feel where the the former to former has joined it just left the panel lines .... Before I started on the fuselage assemblt i constructed the cockpit floor and its details not bad in detail, effective in all respects........ On skin No. 5 through 6 their formers 5c and 6b are half formers to allow the cockpit tub to fit inside the fuselage the cut out opoening of the formers are way to small and dont know why it was designed to be to small to except the cockpit tub unit... These formers were left off and the skins 5 and 6 are joined together with conector tabs......... the cockpit floor fits likie a glove I am happy, I can have this build done in two days. and then i will start with the FW190.. Here is the update for the night more tomorrow.

Wow, Boats! I just was checking your last build, and you already started another! And a double take!

Kudos for a great start!

I really want to see how the Focke-Wulf comes to be.

Ahoy
A hardy thank you everyone for your replioes on the build been doing another honey do list to keep mama happy... Okay back at the build on the following update build report pix The basic fuselage assembly has been completed, The tail feathers fills the bill on the fuselage, all is left is the airscoop and tail wheel assembly which I am on as of now, tommorow the wings will be installed and should have her done by sunday and i will turn too on the FockeWulf 190. This kit is wonderfull no fit issues at all very simple the novis shouldn,t have problems building this dynamic duel of a kit. two in one kit makes a great bargin and its worth its weight in cardmodels. Here are the update build pix.
