Do you mean the original '99, or the '03 redraw, or the '07 redraw. I checked with Photoshop, pixels to inches. The '99 model is about 18.6 inches. The C-47 has a wing span of 95 ft. That works out to a scale of about 1/61.3. I could be wrong, but it's what I came up with.

I make the measurements on the black and white model and for this file it is about 1/63.

If I remember correctly, if it's WSAM = 100%, it's approximately 1:60 scale.

The FG DC-3 I have shows WSAM 100%. WSAM is 1/60.
Check somewhere on the upper left of the first page of any FG model for the WSAM %. That will tell you what % of 1/60 the model is.

Never believe FG's claimed scales, they are mostly off. Sometimes wildly so.

The scale question was one I raised at FG. Most of my models are 1:28 scale and I wanted the C-47 and the glider for a version of a Invasion Normandy 1944 above my desk. But as it was pointed out to make the C-47 match scale of the other models, the C-47 would be huge. That won't work. .So forget the scale question. Thank you for the help. wc

scale

I have been building FG since the beginning and I think most come in around 1/60. I built that one and think that it is pretty close to it.

C-47 wingspan = 29.41 m

1/28 C-47 wingspan = 1.05 m or 41.35 inches

Suffice it to say, that would be a huge model.
