Horten 229

After building the Tyrell P34 6-wheeler, see my posts here Tyrell P34, 6-wheeler , I 've been working on a Horten 229S. My most complicated model yet, especially the canopy.
First time I tried to make a canopy myself, using tips and tricks found here on papermodelers.

Since I 've seen the Horten 229 in the Duxford museum in the UK about 10 years ago, (ok, it was not on display, but stored away in parts) it has been one of the most intriguing planes to me.
As far as I know, there is no complete plane left. But some time ago national geographic had a documentary on it. Including a 1:1 rebuild (not a flying model) for evaluation of its stealth capacities. Here it is, on youtube.

Excellent build with great attention to detail. What company published the model?

I echo paperwarrior's comments. Well done. That surely can't be the FG model.

thats a very nice model build. i particularly love this subject.
i really like that you did a clear canopy instead of a paper one.
i really think it makes the model when you do it right with a real canopy.

thanks for sharing your build.

Nice clean build. I'm not familiar with that model, but it came out great.

We have a Horten 229, or Horten H IX, at the National Air and Space Museum near Washington, D. C. The fuselage used to sit right behind my workbench and was always in my way! The fuselage is still at the Garber Facility and is not available for viewing, but the wings can be seen at the Udvar-Hazy Center.
