Bf-109 G5 (Kartonowa Kolekcja, 1:33) / recoloring

At the end of WWII, the swiss airforce flew with me-109 G. As no paper version of this aircraft exists, I have decided to recolor the model of
Bf-109 G5 (Kartonowa Kolekcja, 1:33). Here are two pictures of my work. I intend to mount this model in the next few weeks.

Gary,

First, I scanned the original and imported the result in Adobe Illustrator.
Then it’s possible to redraw all shapes and attribute a ground colour.
Afterward, I define several layers: one includes the lines and rivets, another includes shading and so on. So it’s possible to isolate one aspect without modifying all those that are adequate.
Regarding the colours, It’s important to assign transparency otherwise the results will seem overdone. I’m only a beginner and this work takes time but I'm glad to see improvements day after day. The last picture shows the result without transparency.

Looks great.

Hard to believe the Germans would have offered foreign sales under the circumstances of the time.

In april 1944 a german Me-110 landed in Switzerland after an hydraulic failure. It was equiped with a new secret radar device. The nazis demand its restitution. As swiss authorities denied, they threatened to send commandos in retaliation. They also offered swiss air force to destroy the plane and to have the opportunity to buy 12 Me-109G ... finally this solution was choosen. The swiss technicians examined (secretly) the radar device before they destroy the plane (!)
