Absolutely right, I'll drop Aaron a message about that. Easy enough fix. Thanks everyone.

I did a bit of research, and I guess the middle gear is either optional, or based on the year and model of DC-10. Half the pics I saw didn't have the middle gear. Plus, the Fire Bomber has the Drop Tank right where the middle gear will go.

Even older model KC-10's don't have the middle gear.

All this in self defense as to why I didn't put it in (and the 3-view I used didn't show it either). I originally was just gonna do the Fire Bomber version, then got talked into the KC-10.

Sooooo, I'll add the middle gear when I get the chance (I'll probably just copy a few wheels and a main gear strut, with trim to fit instructions)

Exactly my plan. Build another main landing gear bogie and trim to fit.

FWIW, the original DC-10-10 did not have the middle gear. It was added when the design was upgraded to the heavier DC-10-30. Surprised the KC-10 came both ways; I don't think they were conversions of civilian birds.

The KC-10s were developed from the DC-10-30CF. It's a relatively minor thing that Aaron missed (and honestly it's very difficult to spot the 3rd main landing gear bogie from most angles).

It's still a great model to build, I'll build the fire bomber version after the CF-100 I'm currently busy with.

Niki,

Did you run into any fit issues?

Thanks,
Gary
