Nice thread, Péricles. Your's (and Aaron's) efforts have rekindled my interest in resuming my redesign/recolor build of the MiG-9 from Hungarian label Hdb Makett. Thanks for jump starting me.

Hi Pericles. Seems you have to work a lot on the underside of the tail. The form over the engine exhaust looks difficult. Congrats on another great build on that so small scale.

german/soviet hybrid
never heard of this MiG. . .sorry.
What I find interesting about model is how you can really see the hybridization (?) of german and soviet russian design sense in the airframe. To victor goes the spoils I guess. . . cbg

Thank's people!
CJB When we talk about hybrid design, it resides nof act between various propulsion systems, hydraulic and certain design features, are typically German, as the airframe has typically Soviet pragmatism. A major problem with this plane, the guns were that in general, exploded in flight. The MiG-9 had a small production compared with other types Soviets, however many systems of the MiG-9 notably the cockpit and landing gear were redesigned to be used in the MiG-15 and that's another story ... |
