Papermate, great job on the beta build. It looks great and murpyaa, I always love your designs and have lots of your kits from Ecardmodels. Lol, finally after 45 years of drooling over it in pictures I can finally build one, and in 1/35th scale to boot!

Love it!
Personally, I dont get too hung up on exact colour matches, since no matter how perfect the colour is in the PDF, my printer will most likely make it darker or lighter than it should be. |

That is a terrific looking model. My dad recalls seeing those at Selfridge in the '30's.

As usual, very clean build. Unusual looking plane, but you've done it justice. Extra credit goes to Aaron, your designs are just looking more awesome, very clean lines.

Thank you all, guys, and now more pics of the enhanced build of this P-30. The machine gun is borrowed from another kit. The enhancement includes detailed exhausts, intake scoops, wheel wells and the rear gunner's cockpit. Perhaps Aaron may wish to design some machine guns in his weaponry collection to fit on his various planes.

Very handsome rendition of the old bird. Looking forward to it. Might have to make up a try at a cockpit, if there are any clues as to what it would look like....Would there be two seats - pilot and gunner?

Somewhere in the stacks of old magazines I have cutaways of the PB-2/P-30 by (I think) Douglas Rolf, plus some magazines and books that include cockpit shots. Several decades ago, the PB-2/P-30 became quite popular with the aviation history journals (Wings, Airpower, and the like).
Not sure if I can find them, but will try. Don |
