Mirage IIIC EC 3/10 Vexin, 1:200

This one is a colour scheme I wanted to do almost from the beginning.

It's a Mirage IIIC in the markings of EC 3/10 "Vexin" based in Djibouti. They replaced the F-100D of EC 4/11 "Jura" and stayed there from 1978 to 1988 when the unit re-equiped with Mirage F1Cs (and became EC 4/30 "Vexin", later EC 4/33 "Vexin").

Edit : 2 of the pics also show one of Chaiwatkom's Mirage 2000 (single seat originally) converted to Mirage 2000N. The last pic shows all my "serial production" Mirage III in french colors (1 x Mirage IIIR, 2 Mirage IIIE, 1x Mirage IIIC).

Thanks Papermate.

I need to finish the markings of a blue one (EC 1/10 "Valois") and test-build the Mirage IIIB (EC 1/13 "Artois") and I'll release a second "Mirage IIIC in french service" pdf with all 3.

Cafe, Those are some nice birds! BTW, I just noticed your location. Does the Paris-Brest-Paris bike ride go through or near your town? I have fond memories from my 1983 ride.

Thanks, Firewing! Any progress on your Mirage F1?

Ashevilleangler, I don't think so. My city is actually on the road to Normandy (Rouen and Le Havre), not Brittany.

I've posted a pair of SAAF Mirage III (C & B) to the download section.

I've finally learnt how to use the gradient tool in Inkscape, so I hope the bare metal look is a bit more realistic. I've also switched the line color to the same shade of gray S&P uses.
