Sombold So 344 Orlik 1:33 scale

Hello Isaac,

that a strange looking plane! And it's a challenge building this model, because of the curved lines, but you manage it well.

Once the cockpit is done, I added the last fuselage section. This is done without any internal framing in place to allow for easy seam matching and gluing.



When dry, I added a small internal brace to the upper section. It will support it as the cutout for the horizontal fin breaks up that section.


Once the fin is glued in place, I closed it up by adding the rear bulkhead. Strange that it just ends like on a boat?


When dry, add the two rocket motors exhaust cones and it is done.

Yes, Thank you. I did find those earlier as well.

I would have liked to see the ground equipment carts built as well.

Anyway, I built the Orlik Lippisch P13 before and it has the schlepper like the Sombold. But the other equipment is apparently shared with the Orlik Me-163 red in your link.
