OBP T-38 Thunderbird

After Niki's NASA version of the T-38, I now present the Thunderbird version. The photos should speak for themselves. The templates were printed at 2 pages on 1 A4 sized paper, meaning about 70% of the original. As for the rest, all I can say that this T-38 was built out of photo paper laminated on 140 gsm printing paper. So you would imagine that it's very "thick".

The colour scheme is okay without noticeable errors apart from two very insignificant ones that should be corrected to make this bird perfect. This is a quick build as I'm engaged in other projects at the moment, so if there are faults, hope you don't mind.

One thing more, the colour of the exhaust section isn't exactly as the original artwork of dark grey because of the settings on my printer.

Enjoy the pics.

And the changes that Aaron may wish to note. The cut out areas should be extended as suggested otherwise it's impossible to push the engine intake section forward.

Nice looking build there, I think I know what you did "wrong" with regards to the intake issue. On the first segment after the intakes of the rear fuselage, the darker grey areas in the centre need to be cut out after the rear fuselage is constructed. I made the same mistake on my beta build.

Regards

Niki

I'm just glad all the markings lined up. That was a lot of parts to transfer markings across.

I tried something experimental with this one. I'm happy it worked out with so few bugs.

That looks sweet, I really like the printing done on the photo paper. I bet with the additional thickness, came some challenges. You did a remarkable job.

Thank you guys. Yeah, the Thunderbird is a very colourful and beautiful plane, no matter it is a T-38 or F-16 or you name it.
