John -- I recall seeing your DH2 at the International Papermodelers Convention last October, along with many of your other superb builds. It is a truly impressive piece of work.

Zachy -- I hope that the engine survived and that you will soon be posting new photos of the build.

Joe -- We really need a build thread of your 1/16 DH2!

I've always thought that the DH2 was a particularly appealing airplane. Something about it just looks "right" to me, more so than its other pusher contemporaries, and it is certainly historic in being the airplane that blunted the Fokker Scourge.

DrLaser - May just take you up on that.

Boosed - I'm thinking of posting the build AFTER I complete it. I work fairly slow (which I like-I Really enjoy the build) and build threads that disappear with no reasons bug me. I don't want to do that.
Normally I post build reports on my site TinPaper Moon Tank Model

on my Dh2 I was able to rescue the nose to my satisfaction. One thing I like about military models is I feel they should look like they've been in the field so they rarely look perfect!

OK, why, when I type my site address:

w w w . t i n p a p e r . n e t

Does it say "TinPaper Moon Tank Model", which is the coded title of the page, instead of just the address?

Yes, I can just change the coded name.

Joe, when you go into the advanced thread reply, there is a check box right below the main message box, and it says Automatically parse links in text
if you uncheck that, any url you post will show the full url, not the headline of the page you created.

try that next time you post an url in your message

I like your model DrLaser. I see your propeller is different than the one in the kit. I think I'll kit bash one like it. I have another engine built and am building the fuselage again. I will have pictures soon, Maybe tonight.

Good for you (and us).
I was actually considering Boosed's request for a build thread of mine.
Whew! rescued at the 11th hour!

I understand some of your pain, though. I did not have the engine built but messed up that nose (I said that earlier). It was lots of work but was able to work it over and now it looks fine.

Hurry, hurry! New pics.

Finally back from school in Dallas. I have been building and have some pictures. I'll start where I left off before.

I've gotten the tail booms in place. assembled the wheels and installed the gas tank. I am having problems with the tail skids. Even after hitting it with thin CA glue it is not strong enough to hold up the tail. Also, not complaining DrLazer but I hate the propeller. Alot. I realize that Fiddlersgreen requires such simplicity but I have a better idea.
