A very nice looking build. Interesting camouflage. I've never seen that sawtooth edge treatment before.

Thank you Colonel, I'v been rereading "The First And The Last" although it poses many questions about "why" the historical information would be firsthand...and also "Battle Over The Reich" by Alfred Price much information including figures of RAF losses that I was unaware were so high. Both books praise the Mosquito as an amazing plane, going to have to make one now....
Thanks for your comments Don and MacSongLi, the graphics on this are really cool.

Wing fairings were perfect, even though the model isn't, and the device I made for the prop to insert blades and spin freely, more gear details the exhaust tips are made but not on yet

The detail in the exhaust system is very cool on this bird, working today, but did one half yesterday. I havn't built this one quite as nice as would have liked at first with the fuse was a tad hasty, regretting that now as the model is really a fine one.

Looking great, Glen. Remember we are our own worst critics.

Thanks kindly Gary, it is a fun little model, have bought several 109's but this one is the first I've done in 1/33, and as usual the aircraft grows on me the more I work on it. With the addition of various scoops and pipes and external details this one is looking more like a 109, here's progress to present, just about done with props and a few little details

Winding down on this model took a few pics of her before she goes on the shelf with her WWII cohorts. Used a staple for the round aerial and some fine thread for the wire antenna, other little tubes are rolled paper (guns, ..) Like the look of the overall model and like to have just a slightly unique 109..ended up more of a G-6 than a G-5 though.

Glen,

She turned out absolutely beautiful. You did a magnificent job. I love the base that you made. How did you texture the board?

Gary

Thanks again Gary, I just spayed some sawdust flat green color added a couple layers of sawdust and sprayed again, small piece of dry moss for a little "bush"
The pictures with sun on them turned out better, and the colors of the plane fit with the green..adding figures and barrels and such could be cooler...as would a photoshopped or natural horizon and background....but simple version better for pics than none I think...
