1:25 Polikarpov Po-2

Started another model which doesn't really match to the rest of my airplanes collection because of its scale, 1/25 which is typical for land vehicles. And that's why I'm building this one. It's always nice to have aircraft and land vehicle in the same scale. I've built before ZiS-5, GAZ-67 and T34/76 in 1/25. So, this Po-2 will be a nice addition to these WWII Russian vehicles. Model is a scratch, based on original very old and poorly designed MM from 1960(58 years old!). I'm painting it by brush using poster paints and acrylic paints trying to make some weathering effect with camouflage.

Some more work. Challenging model, really not for beginners. I have to build it because I'm planning to build Swordfish somewhere in the nearest future and would be good to refresh my skill with this kind of aircraft(biplanes). It's always better to try on poor quality old model with some scratch first.

Interesting historical fact about Po-2 is that they were even used in North Korea and China.

Yep. NATO code name 'Mule'. I always think of the Po-2 as something like the Russian equivalent of the Tiger Moth or Stearman Kaydet.

DH Moth would be better equivalent IMHO,just not so pretty.

Po-2 for m Maly was the biplane that turned me off from biplanes . I need 6 hands to do it right All the more reason to admire work of those more capable than me.

Good progress Zenon, we can not always advance much, but something is something. I would like to know what is used for the wiring, I see that I already installed something, but I can not distinguish what material it is.
