Ki-43 II - (Nobi)

Well, I finally got around to being able to actually start some paper modelling again, and I was really anxious to do Nobi's Ki-43 Oscar. I purchased it when Nobi first released it.

Here is the fuselage, as expected with Nobi's designs, everything is fitting really well (any errors you see are strictly my lack of skills).

When building the front where the fuselage tapers behind the cowling, I scored the joining strip. Note to future builders of this kit, Remember to install the lower former (Part 5a) before attaching fuselage part 4 to part 5 (I forgot and had to start over).

So far this aircraft is a lot of fun to build.

Enjoy!

Gary

Nice work!

Did you ever build the Marek 1/50 Ki-44? I am wondering how the two models compare.

Don,

Thank you for the compliment. Sorry, but haven't built the Marek Ki-44 so I can't give you comparison. Gee, thanks, now you have me thinking of my next model (to add to the to do pile).

Thanks,
Gary

Look real cool, Gary.

Thank to share your build picture with us. If you thinking to do a pile of Ki- model, please consider my 1/48 Mitsubishi Ki-46 in your pile too :-) Thank you very much for your support.

Good clean start. It's really coming along nicely.

Nobi, I will be doing you Ki-27, Ki-46, and Ki-61 (but it will take a bit). You're a very talented designer and I lover you work.

papermate, as a mater of fact, yes I did plan on doing a spinning propeller, maybe a small diorama even.

YOAVHOZMI & rockpaperscissor, thank you for your comments of support.

Gary

Well, here goes with the wings, everything is going really well (when I can find the time to do the papermodelling).

Enjoy!

Sure looks good! Guess you are going to have the wheels in the retracted position
which is a good opportunity for a nice base or hanging from fine fishing lines.
