Is it specific to this recolor or more general? Can you give details?

Yes, it appears the markings layer is misplaced.

It appears to be only VX-31.

Oh, I see what happened. Before I saved as pdf I moved the 1:200 model down the page except the markings layer was locked and stayed in its original position. (which is why the svg was OK)

Here is the corrected pdf.

(now off to watch this week's episode of the adventures of the Strawhat pirates, even if it's filler)

I was puzzled by your comment until I realized I probably hadn't turned off in my copy of Inkscape at work the preference that resized the line width when you resized a drawing. Hence why the line width of the 1:200 Blue Angels single-seat Hornet is 0.132 mm instead of 0.088 mm in the 1:300 version. (0.088 x 150% = 0.132)

versions affected by this line-width issue :

- 1:200 Blue Angels F/A-18C (but not the D or the optional tails)
- in the other direction : 1:200 & 1:300 VX-31 F/A-18C (0.059 mm instead of the original 0.088 mm)

I'll correct these 2 tonight.

Edit: or just now as I emailed me the final svg files from home and have just ticked off that box in the preferences of Inkscape.
