Hi, Brent, I have got all of Bruno's 1/1250 ships and asked him for some photos as reference.
Wonder if this one that's a three-in-one combined photo will give you any help.
It's blurry, I know, but that's what I got from Bruno.

Here is my build of the superb B787. Close-up of engines.

Sygrod, thank you very much for the pictures. That looks more like how I expected the engines should look, with the fan and aft circle inset within the cowling. I am puzzling over the assembly sequence and will be grateful for any furhter hints, but those pictures are a big help.

Papermate and Bruno, thanks again for the pictures. The mystery pieces are the gun tub supports for the quad bofors on each side of the bridge.

First, I wasn't sure whether the circles for the fan (in front) and black circle (aft) should be inset or glued to the ends. The position of the gluing strips led me to believe that they should be flush with the ends, as shown. But when I try to fit the pylon, there's a problem. It appears that on the stepped lower edge, the first step (left) should be glued to the aft white section, and the second step should be glued to the gray cone. But the second step is too short. It would fit fine if I recessed the black circle that the gray and black cones are glued to(barely visible in the second photo). But that doesn't make sense with the way the glue strips are shown. As it stands, my plan is to trim the pylon a bit so it fits. Thoughts?
Hi Anne,

I think "Bruno should have done a redesign"

Probably due to reuse of earlier engine parts or insufficiently reliable plans, the parts don't really fit. If I remember correctly I created more elaborate engines later in the series (with a receding fan). Just checked: only for A330 with other type of engines.

Perhaps removing the tabs might help. If not, trimming seems the best option.

Another in the fifties row: the Stratojet. The only improvement i did is the inlet cone for the engines. The design is beautiful , as well as the rendering of the elegance of this plane.

Best, Nando
