Maybe but it's probably one of the prototypes (I have this book)

ETA: nope, only sideviews of the prototypes and first production SMTs (izdeliye 9.17) and prototype UBT (izdeliye 9.52). Plus some smaller and less detailed 2-views (side and top view) of the initial and final version of the SMT/9.17 and a top view of the UBT (with an incorrectly shaped spine according to the caption).

I guess you want the SMT that was built for Algeria but ultimately delivered ro Russia so the above side-views and top views are wrong for that version.

There were 3 lines of MiG-29SMT :
- izdeliye 9.17 and its 2-seat version izdeliye 9.52 in the late 1990ies. Only prototypes and 1 production example. My book ends with this variant.
- izdeliye 9.18 and 6 conversions for Yemen in the early 2000s. All had the original spine from the 9.12 (MiG-29A)
- izdeliye 9.19 with the big hump but smaller than on the 9.17 -> that's the version Algeria ordered then rejected. They finally entered russian service.

This site has color 4 views for all variants.

Thanks again, Carlos, for this valuable information.

but looking at the price of the book you refer to (€900+) I'm out
I think I'll leave the SMT for someone else.

I saw the plans from this book (or the original russian book) on the-blueprints. The sideviews of the SMT/9.17 and UBT/9.52 are there IIRC but not the smaller top views.

I paid around 50 € at the time, I think. The MiG-21 book was maybe 5 € more expensive.
...
OK, the 4 examples of the MiG-21 book on Amazon are listed between 3000 and 10000 dollars??? What the hell!!!

Maybe the instructions for the Trumpeter MiG-29SMT (9.19) can help?

It has been disclosed long time ago... Bruno is using vector graphics and Word as his basis for designing his models. Then uses Inkspace for color....I still haven't grasped how he does it in Word...but as you can see he is really fast with it, so it works for him!

Almost correct. I actually do the coloring in Word as well.

Started working on the SMT variants (thanks to the information from Cafe). The test of the 9-19 is taking form but the humps is not big enough. So I'll have to return to the drawing table

Great!

The first egyptian MiG-29M2 (or MiG-35) are flying. Other pics linked in this thread.

Also, remember the black and white tiger scheme on the Super Etendard (thank you again Bruno!)? Now it's the turn of the Rafale M.

I am pretty sure a tutorial was posted in the downloads section somewhere.
