Can somebody help to direct me to the pictures of the built SU-30SM or anything close?
It's hard to flip through a quarter if not half of the thousand pages on this tremendous thread.

Perhaps somebody should collect all the recolors in one file and post them in the download section, like I did with my "original" models.

Any volunteers?

Should I revise the canopy or is it my clumsiness that produced this result?

Anyway, here is the test build of Bruno's F-80C converted to T-33A in 1:200. I'll probably add a simplfied version of the main landing gear for the 1:300 version. It's hard enough in 1:200, I can't imagine how anyone could build it in 1:300.

I could have done a better job when assembling the tail surfaces. I also should have "massaged" a bit the center of the wing undersides before adding the uppersides. Still, not bad for a first builf of an unfamiliar kit :-)

The air intakes need some minor tweaking.

absolutely agree with this. It is very good looking (even for a later build).
I've seen so many worse models on the net (some were even for sale ).

One can always try to do better and add more details, and try a new aproach and improve some parts, and try a new livery or some extra weathering, ...

For me, the importance of the whole hobby is to have fun, to learn something new, to feel satisfied (in stead of frustrated) when a model is done.

so whatever the result, whatever the correctness, whatever the exactitude of your models, just remember the pleasure you had while creating it.

Becoming philosophical again. (Must be the pain)

I'm always critical of my building skills but I'm pretty satisfied with this first T-33.

Now I know what areas I nead to pay attention to when building an F-80 or T-33 : the undersides of the horizontal tailplanes and the undersides of the wing (pre-assembly). The second one will be better (even if I'm often bad at building canopies).

(now back to the F-105)
