The Skyhawk was the first pl***c model I build myself. I must have been about 7 or 8, I think. The model itself was the cheap version in a plastic bag with little details and a pilot that looked more like a blob than a human. You Know Bruno, if you add all the Aggressor schemes that have been used by the A-4 from Marines and USN......the repaints are endless. I was very fond of one that even had the outline of a Mig17...happy painting!!!

For me, Bruno's chosen 1/100 scale is great in that it has (nice) detail to easily go up or down "a few scales". For example, the attached in-progress pic shows a repaint of his MiG-21 being scaled to 1/32 ... as a basis for a small radio control model. I'll do the same with one of his outstanding new Skyhawks.

I have an r/c micro plane laying around that might be suitable for this type of work...

I did something similar with an r/c helicopter. I adapted some FG bodies onto the frame, giving me something different from everyone else.

I must say that before I saw this pictures, Skyhawk wasn't really model that I would like to have, but now ... NOW I WANT IT :D
I wonder if I could build one in 1/300 with this level of detail.
