Hi, Bruno. It's the 1:300. I built the Wellington, up-scaled to 1.200, since I just don't have the skills for something smaller. The fit was superb, but the front and rear turret, well, I can't make them work.
On a different note, I went mad and started a repaint of the Chinook. RCAF camo. It is almost done. A couple of details and a test built to correct camo-lines. |

Interesting camo on that Prowler! Beautiful work Bruno as always.
Waiting for that recolored Chinook Sygrod! I thought I would be spending time in our hobby during vacation time but with kids and wife on my back (and heavy winds where we were) didn't even touch a pair of scissors....I'll get back on track now. Occupying my hands during conference time ... I never imagined I would be more productive in modeling during working days and hours. |

Made a little tutorial on how to make the landing gear struts in my models.
First I cut out the parts with some extra paper as shown by the green X's on the picture. These extras are not drawn on the model sheet. Then I roll the struts around a needle first and then roll and glue them a little tighter until I reach the first X-part. I cut that first part off and continue with the rest. the extra part allows you to keep the paper strips aligned and under light tension. At the end I just remove the last X-part and the strut is finished. That was an easy one after all. But... while juggling with the camera and the other tools I managed to get myself a "purple hurt" with this tutorial. My Xacto slipped from one hand to plant its point into the other. Is this nature telling me that this scale is getting too small for me? ..... Naaaaah B |
