Thanks, Mike.
Nice engine, MichaelS. I've learned a lot about designing models over the years and continue to learn every day.

Here the first Sea Fury profiles.
So many nice ones to do.

Many thanks to Bruno & Gerry for their F4F Wildcat. My build thread here:

Thanks for sharing this nice build thread, MichaelS.

Before I venture in some camouflaged Sea Furies, here some more "simple" recolors.

I did the Airacobra a long time ago (before adding landing gears and realistic props). Nr 358 to 360.
I should probably redesign them one day.

But for now some more recolors of the sea fury.

I don't remember ever seeing those markings before, Michael. Was it an umpire aircraft from the Louisiana maneuvers? What is the source for the image?

Yes the 1941 manuevers. There is also a Dauntless with UMP in big letters. I just googled the other day for somereason and that image came up.

Close, Don. That scheme was used in the Carolina Manoeuvres, Oct-Nov 1941. Source is probably from "Wings of Stars", The Aviation Workshop Publications Ltd, 2009. That source has (in addition to the Umpire scheme) a P-39 with large white crosses on upper right and lower left wings and ahead of the fuselage insignia. Also a P-39 red crosses on upper right and lower left wings as well as aft of the fuselage insignia; no doubt representing the opposing forces. There are also examples of other aircraft from the Carolina and Louisiana war games.

The book is a great source of "between the wars" USAAC aircraft, unfortunately long out of print.

I have two other books of The Aviation Workshop Publications that served me well before. Indeed unfortunate that they stopped printing.

I continue recoloring and adapting. Here some more Sea Furies and the Fury prototypes. Note that the latter two still need some designing.
