I should have done the same. I would have less issues making the air intakes stick to the fuselage if I had printed them on 80 gsm.

Your build is nice ans scissorsandplanes design is excellent!

The F-100 is another pretty brute.

I never thought it was that big until I saw a picture of an EC 4/11 "Jura" F-100D between 2 EC 3/10 "Vexin" Mirage IIIC in Djibouti. The Mirage is small and the Super Sabre looks huge next to it.

Hi S&P!

I am stunned by the speed and quality with which you are producing these new models. Marvelous!

You offered to provide the cloud background you used in the Supermarine Scimitar shots for download. I would appreciate it if you did. My models are built without landing gears, so it would be a highly useful picture backdrop.

As for wish list, could you add the Ilyushin IL-28 Beagle? I am only aware of two existing models, the old 1:50 scale model by Wilhelmshavener and the 1:33 by GPM.
As for livery, I would love to see a Cuban Air Force what if. 42 disassembled Beagles were delivered by Khrushchev to Castro during the Cuban Missile Crisis but returned before they were put into service. It’s easy to guess how they would have been painted though, because Cuban MiGs at the time were all unfinished aluminum with national markings and the side rudder painted with the flag.

I cannot post links, but if you search the web for “MiG 17 Desertion to USA” you get a nice side view of a MiG-17 in those colors.

Keep up the great work!

Martin

Your builds...

Scissorsandplanes,
I sat at my comfortable desk chair today and had read your whole thread. I am just amazed at your level of skill on these design-builds! Having a little taste of designing these type of models (not the tiny ones though!) I really appreciate what your doing here! I`m also now officially a follower of your work! Nice Job! (or should I say nice jobs!)

Later...
Bill

Thanks Bill and Martin,

I'm "almost" through my backlog. Only 5 models to go.
After that I can start designing again. Given the requests in this thread and my own wish list, I think I'll need a second life to make them all.

Now I'm working on the P-63. I'll post some picture as soon as it is finished. (give me an hour)

as for the background, I'll try to put in on the download page.

Apparently I cannot add my background to the download page. And since it is over 200k I can't attach it here either.

Unless someone can do it for me?

Sorry for that.

And here is the result of the P-63 King Cobra.

I'll start with the Cessna dragonfly now.

Seems to me you have glued the front part of the fuselage reversely, upside down. (?)

Yeez, you saw the fault.

No, it's not upside down. It's just the second part that needs trimming. I didn't want to sound to negative myself, so I didn't mention it. There's even a bigger mistake in the model: I forgot to colour the bottomside in grey. (Were was I when I was designing this model?).

So this model is on my redo list (next to the request and the wish list). gonna have to prioritize.

Thanks for your comment. Always appreciate when quality can be improved.
