Researching is part of the fun, just don't overdo it, or you will never be happy.

ps no one is going to die!

When the 'only' two models you do are this pair then I think you've done more than you realise my friend!!! Thanks B.

No problem, Mike.
This is indeed interesting material (even if it is pl@$t!c related )
I had read about this in Stewart Wilson's book on the Spitfire, but it was only a very short insert.

As for the number of models, I did not want to seem like complaining. I just have a reputation to keep up.
But then I remind myself that I do work during the week, so "one per non-working day" is a promise kept anyway.

I wonder is "Paper" Models are referred to as "P@poo" models on Plastic modeling forums? LOL We bash so much on plastic kits here that surely they do the same over there.

the plastic crowd don't necessarily bash us, but we definitely annoy them by having reprintable parts if we mess something up. if they mess up a fret of expensive add on parts they are out 30.00 to 100 bucks US. some of the IPMS contests do tend to count rivets, switches and rust marks. so we have that edge whcich annoys, and I think we have a much better support group in our hobby.

Pretty accurate assessment CMDRTED. I think too there's way too much 'competition' among the plast crew. Takes the fun out of it.

What I really miss is the 2 or 3 "exspurts" in every club who know everything about every aircraft and every kit ever produced. They will spend hours telling you everything that is wrong about your latest build. Of course they NEVER EVER build anything!!
