Re color looks great. take your time and enjoy the hobby. I was only asking. Years ago I thought the british colour scheme for the undersides of their aircraft was a mistake on the model companies printer. I complained to gpm.pl or some site and they must have thought I was crazy.

Neptune

White plain construction almost complete; as I see it, the recolor of a OP-2H is straightforward. TRIM AP-2H will follow this.Regards.Tony.

Thank you very much Master Bruno. Hopefully the recoloring department is going to be very busy!

Orion, Shackleton, and Neptune done,
May almost done,
Argus half way,
next Christmas Atlantic/Atlantique!

Thank you so much!!!!

Not to mention the Nimrod and the Poseidon that are jet engine and done by master Bruno.

I said the May is almost done because the only thing to change from the IL-18 is to move the wing forward, add a tail cone, and a radome, and of course the recolor and removal of a few windows.

For the Argus, we have the Britannia wings and tail surfaces, but needs fuselage and engines.

Hi Tony,

thanks for doing the test build.
just a note I forgot to mention.
the Neptune fuselage has more of a rectangular cross section with rounded corners. And the final piece of the fuselage is a little larger than the previous one because it must sort of blend into the rudder.
I did not test build it, so I'm surely not complaining.

that gives me time to design an ugly duckling.

I think you would have to work very hard to do that.

And here I thought I was the only one taking Bruno's Cherokee challenge seriously! Still, congratulations TigerTony.

My excuse for coming in second is I had to find wheel pants graphics I could borrow for the Philippine versions. I ended up using wheel pants from Tak Nagasawa's Cessna C172 (which I didn't use for my Cessna C172 recolors).

My suggestion is use the struts but lose the wheels, and laminate the layers in this sequence: long colored, short, medium, short, long, long, short, medium, short, long colored to get something resembling a streamlined shape. Plus this will make the landing gear stiff enough to hold up the plane.

I found 3 civilian examples of Philippine PA-28-140s with useful photos, so those are in the file (which I've also added to our downloads section). Others were bigger engined, or retract versions. I increased the scale to 1:72, but if you want 1:100 just print out 2 pages per sheet. Enjoy!
