Didn't the M4 have a little air intake at the base of the fin, meaning this one is actually an M3? Anyway, yay for the dropping nose!

Meanwhile I've tried my hand at recoloring airliners again. The 707 may not have been the best choice.

Here is the firs try which was an expected failure. I tried too many things at once:
- a cheatline
- I moved some doors
- I removed/added some windows to fit the example I was replicating

The cheatline of the second attempt is much better and the window and door on the left side of the 3rd front segment are in a better location (and orientation. Though I made a mistake when positioning the cockpit a millimeter aft from where it was on the first example.

Some tiny blue creatures assist in presenting the 2 test fuselages.

Since them I've found the pictures of Bruno's build of the E-3 Sentry that confirm the location of the cockpit (#1 is OK, #2 is wrong). and I've removed the cockpit of #2 and repositioned it in the correct place.

I need to do some minor corrections to the colors of first 2 segments of the nose. Then I'll need to tackle the colors and markings on the wings but finding relevant pictures is hard.

Nice recolor, Carlos

And indeed the intake was missing on the profile. It did not come with the copy manoeuvre.

So I redid the front, still need to test build. But to make things worthwhile I added some color for once.
Here the latest profiles and corrected earlier ones.

Dear Tony:
I am glad that you are feeling better. To me, when I can, modeling is a good therapy.

Dear Café:
Is nice to see Lusitanian planes, rarely depicted.

Dear Bruno:
Nice additions.

Dear Recolorist:
There were a lot of clashes between the Sukhoi exports and other planes (and SAMs) even in Latin America (not a request)!

I messed up my build. After the picture I saw that the cockpit and spine were not centered so I tried to get it off. The laser print is however not forgiving with the glue I use. So now I have more crap on my model than nice colors.
I'll have to redo the whole build.
