Thanks, guys.
the model is 1/144 scale. I know, not my usual scale
But it fitted quite right on A4 paper
(diameter 10,06 m at 1/144 scale is 7cm, so about 22 cm when rolled out)

A second try of the ribs with doubled paper ribbons cut at about 1 mm each, is a little better. You don't see the lines on the lower sheet anymore but dirt seems to get in between the ribbons.

It's perhaps of meager comfort to know that NASA also needed a lot of tries to get this rocket to the moon.

Not really much into space but this has got my interest.

One of my modelling memories as a kid is I was given one Christmas the Airfix Saturn V kit which I think was 1/144 like this. I remember it as being a huge model.

In my previous life this was the one for me (although secretly I always longed for 1/100).

Looking forward for the final model.

Just dropping in on this. Looks good! Long ago, I built your 1/300th-scale Saturn V, enlarged to 1/288th. Corrected the markings myself. Built the Saturn 1B to match.

I will say, though, I'd prefer to see F-1s with their insulation batting. Yeah, the exposed plumbing looks cool, but EVERY F-1 that ever flew was covered in insulation that covered all that up.

These rockets look great for that scale. Where did you get all the detailed info? I tried the internet and old documents I have but ended up ordering some books to get the correct info on all the details (vents, doors, umbilical connections, retro rockets, antenna,...)
