Those rounded things are just burnishing on the inside or pressing (gently!) down the part over a shape like the end of a small paintbrush handle.

PS: When I compare this model to the older N1K2-J Shiden Kai, I think I really should revisit my old models.

For a short moment I thought it would be easy to make the Kyofu based on the Shiden, but then I made a little comparison...

Yes, your new Shiden looks more accurate to my eyes.

About revisiting old models, I have a question. How do you design wing root fairings for any aircraft? These parts are the only ones I find quite difficult to design when I upgrade your older designs.


EDIT: I've seen Kyofu in your catalogue, Nr 209
