Absolutely magnificent work on the N1K1, Garry.
I'm still looking for information on this aircraft. The tail markings indicate that it was assigned to the 901st Naval Air Group (Kaigun Kōkūtai) of the General Escort Command (Kaijô Goei Sôshireibu), which was established in 1943 to carry out escort and protection of shipping. It included surface units, escort aircraft carriers, and naval air assets, including the 901st (tail code KEA), 931st (tail code KEB), and 453rd (tail code KEC) Naval Air Groups. The 901st was established in December 1943 and was a composite unit that included bombers, flying boats, ASW aircraft, and other aircraft that carried out reconnaissance, patrol, ASW, and anti-shipping operations, rather like RAF Coastal Command. I think the headquarters was at Chitose on the northern island of Hokkaido, but it had detachments in various places in the home islands and overseas. The Wings Palette entry says KEA-01 was based in Borneo. WINGS PALETTE - Kawanishi N1K Kyofu/Shiden - Japan I, too, would appreciate a tutorial on your techniques. Yep Karol. It's a great site but anything that grabs my interest on there I always try and get confirmation elsewhere.

Another probable source for info is decals.
I used a few of them to configure my test build for today... How fast can you guess what it is?

I've added a triplet of 1:200 Iraqi MiG-17F from 1973 to the previous MiG-17F download.
Iraq got 24 Fresco C and only painted a small number in camo. Squadron 8 of the IrAF operated from Syria during the Yom Kippur War. The rockets I added to the example in camo may or may not be S-21M. The profile's caption describes them as S-24 but they were quite shorter than the ones I made for the MiG-21 so I remade them from scratch with the pylons. The camo itself is 2/3 speculation as I only had a side profile. Mods, could check the download section and approve Tigertony's cubano-Ethiopian MiG-17F in 1:100? Here is the 1:300 version of the iraqi Frescos plus 2 missing ones (east german and egyptian, already released in 1:200)

Nice Migs, Carlos.
And indeed it is Pete. The test build shows no big issues (some trimming of the main float required). Here some pictures and some schemes.
