This G4M discussion is a real eye opening education for me. Because of my up until now lack of interest in the type I never realized how many variants there were. Thanks to this thread my attitude has certainly changed!

Bruno, even if you decide not to proceed any further with this model, I'll still have Don's marvellous research info to refer back to.

BTW, if Mr Tagaya's profile shows no white fin tip on Yamamoto's '323' then that's good enough for me.

What is amazing is that Don can find a specific plane of a run of almost 2500 planes!
Regardless of bombing, fires, and so on.
It also showed me that keeping records and documentation is so important.
Who would have predicted that a bunch of paper modelers would require this information more than 60 years later!!!!!

Truth be told "323" plane was famous one and subject to few detailed investigations by both Japanese and US commands so no wonder we know quite a few details about it.

Compare it to say G3M bomber preceding it."Nell" is a lot less known around even when it was the most important twin engine bomber IJA had at the beginning of the war.
BTW-Bruno did a 4 beautiful G3Ms a while back, look them up ( I can't recall numbers).Unlike Betty those are afaik the only Nell bomber models done in paper to date.

Both models look good, Bruno.

I agree, Karol, that the G3M was a good-looking and historic airplane, and I have long planned to build the three that Bruno offers:

BruNo 1686 is a dark green aircraft of the Yokosuka Kokutai, tail number Yo-302.

BruNo 1687 is a dark green aircraft of the Genzan Kokutai, tail number G-335 with two oblique white tail stripes that I think denote 2nd Chutai.

BruNo 1688 is a brown and green aircraft of the Takao Kokutai, 21st Koku Sentai, tail number T-342 as it appeared when operating in Indo China in 1941.

I don't have the fourth one in my collection.

Don

4th is a civilian world tour version.Being white it's not quite correct,it started as polished aluminium and it faded very fast to greyish as you can imagine.

Here is one I build.I upsized it a bit (again).
